The challenge
Six product teams were each building their own buttons, modals, and forms. Visual drift was severe, accessibility was inconsistent, and shipping a brand refresh was nearly impossible.
The approach
Designed a token-based system with semantic theming, headless primitives, and exhaustive Storybook docs. Wrote migration codemods to bring existing apps onboard.
The outcome
- 6 apps migrated in under 2 quarters
- WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across all components
- 30% faster feature delivery for product teams
